Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling professional career in Italy. Her first acting role was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. Then, as a supporting character in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. It was a hard time for her to make the transition between modeling and acting because the models werent usually considered to be good actors and tended to be granted smaller, insignificant roles. Amy never gave up. Her first part came from The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Amy then moved into leading roles in the romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained the recognition she had been searching for for more than 10 years when her film, Just Friends was released. Then she continued to appear in some of the biggest films including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played an enduring character.
